Karen Kirshon advises individuals and families on their estate planning, wealth transfer, planning and trust and estate administration matters. Karen earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California Irvine, and her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she graduated cum laude and was elected to the Order of the Coif, a distinction recognizing exceptional academic achievement in the study of law.

With almost three decades of legal experience, Karen brings a comprehensive perspective to her practice. She assists the firm with all aspects of estate planning, including the creation of complex trust structures, lifetime gifting strategies, as well as post-death trust and estate administration. Her work frequently involves guiding families through sensitive transitions with discretion, clarity, and care.

Earlier in her career, Karen practiced as a civil litigator at a prominent California defense firm. This litigation background provides her with a distinctive and valuable perspective, allowing her to anticipate and mitigate potential disputes, strengthen estate plans, and protect her clients’ interests with foresight and precision.

Karen is valued by her clients not only for her technical expertise, but also for her ability to simplify complex legal issues and provide practical, strategic guidance tailored to each family’s unique goals.

While a Bay Area native, Southern California has been home to Karen and her family since 1999. She enjoys hiking, yoga, traveling, and spending her free time with her husband, young adult children, and three dogs.
